Hi, I'm Mia
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Sunnyvale, United States.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to United States wasn’t part of the grand plan. Like many relocation experiences, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Soft Meadow Works
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was missing was honest, everyday family insight.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United States.
